We are supporting a leading international renewable energy company in the appointment of a Senior Grid Manager - Execution to strengthen its German engineering and project delivery team.
The position will take responsibility for the delivery of grid connections across utility-scale renewable energy projects, with a particular focus on projects moving from development into construction and commissioning.
Key Responsibilities
- Take ownership of grid connection activities during the execution and construction phase
- Manage the delivery of electrical infrastructure including substations, transformers, switchgear, cabling and associated balance-of-plant systems
- Coordinate detailed electrical engineering and review technical designs and specifications
- Manage external engineering partners, EPC contractors, OEMs and electrical suppliers
- Act as the key technical interface with DSOs and TSOs throughout project execution
- Coordinate grid compliance, testing, commissioning and energisation activities
- Manage technical interfaces between generation/storage assets and grid infrastructure
- Identify and resolve technical, programme and interface risks
- Support procurement and technical evaluation of electrical packages
- Ensure projects meet German grid codes, technical standards and contractual requirements
Your Background
- Strong experience within grid connection/ electrical infrastructure for utility-scale energy projects
- Track record delivering projects through construction, commissioning and energisation
- Strong understanding of HV electrical infrastructure and substations
- Experience with onshore wind, solar PV and/or BESS projects
- Knowledge of German grid connection requirements and DSO/TSO processes
- Electrical Engineering or comparable technical background
- Comfortable managing contractors, consultants and multiple technical interfaces
- Fluent German and English
