An established renewable energy developer is looking to appoint a Grid Connection Manager to support the development of its growing onshore wind, solar and BESS pipeline. Working within a collaborative project development team, you will take responsibility for securing and managing grid connections for utility-scale renewable energy projects across Germany.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead grid connection activities for renewable energy projects from early-stage development through to permitting.
- Manage relationships with Distribution and Transmission System Operators (DSOs/TSOs).
- Coordinate grid connection applications, capacity requests and technical documentation.
- Work closely with project developers, engineering teams and external stakeholders to ensure projects remain on schedule.
- Provide technical input on grid-related topics and support the optimisation of project design.
Requirements
- Experience managing grid connections for utility-scale renewable energy projects in Germany.
- Strong understanding of the German electricity network, grid connection processes and regulatory framework.
- Previous experience working with DSOs, TSOs and external technical consultants.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders.
