Project Planning & Scheduling Manager – BESS - Munich

About the Company

A growing energy infrastructure business developing and delivering major projects across Germany.

As its portfolio expands, the company is building a more structured project controls function to provide consistent planning, reporting and programme oversight across multiple projects.

The Opportunity

The company is looking for an experienced planning professional to coordinate schedules across its full project portfolio. You will work across development, procurement, delivery and commissioning, while introducing scalable planning standards for future growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Consolidate contractor, supplier and internal timelines into an integrated programme.
  • Monitor delivery progress and provide clear schedule updates to project leadership.
  • Identify potential delays, dependencies and critical activities at an early stage.
  • Establish consistent planning templates, reporting standards and performance measures.
  • Analyse the programme impact of scope changes, contract amendments and variations.
  • Maintain schedule baselines and compare actual progress against agreed plans.
  • Develop detailed timelines covering development, construction and commissioning.
  • Prepare planning information for investment and management decisions.
  • Recommend corrective actions where milestones or completion dates are at risk.

About You

  • Degree in Engineering, Construction, Industrial Engineering, Project Management or a comparable discipline.
  • Several years of planning or scheduling experience on complex capital projects.
  • Experience within energy, infrastructure, industrial construction or a similar environment.
  • Confident using Primavera P6 and/or Microsoft Project, alongside Excel.
  • Strong understanding of programme dependencies, baseline control and progress measurement.
  • Power BI or earned-value management experience would be advantageous.
  • Structured, analytical and confident communicating across multiple functions.
  • Fluent German and good English skills.
