Supply Chain Planner – Raw Materials, Inventory & IBP Coordination (m/f/d)

Huntsman has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Procurement Officer to be based at our site in Bad Säckingen.

Procurement Officer (m/f/d)

This is an excellent opportunity for a proven procurement professional, ideally with experience in the chemical sector. However, a background in general manufacturing will also be considered. Reporting to the Team Leader Operations Planning, you will be responsible for the procurement of raw and packaging materials to meet production plans and inventory targets for the Bad Säckingen site.

As the Procurement Officer (m/f/d), you will:

1. Work closely with the intercompany organization for internal production and supplies (Duxford / Monthey), as well as Corporate Purchasing, to follow up on raw material deliveries. Take corrective actions in cases of short-term changes.
2. Understand and implement appropriate actions for all qualified or certified ingredients, manage NPI processes when required, and foster close collaboration with the PM group.
3. Handle supplier complaints, including case tracking, and support Corporate Purchasing in supplier assessments, steering, and monitoring of supplier OTIF.
4. Manage day-to-day operations, working closely with all support teams within Huntsman to ensure product supply within agreed SLAs and KPIs.
5. Schedule and procure raw and packaging materials using SAP, ensuring optimized order quantities.
6. Monitor inventory and shelf life, including stock levels of packaged goods, tank fillings, and silos, in close collaboration with SCM and PMM.
7. Complete KPI monitoring and reporting (OTIF, Blocked Stock, Aged Stock).
8. Collaborate closely with the Planning Team to optimize the timing of requisitions to meet production plans and inventory targets.
9. Contribute to the continuous improvement of procurement processes.
10. Comply with all external (legal) requirements, such as SOX, and internal guidelines and work instructions (e.g., EHS, 5S), supporting quality standards in production processes.

Skills & Experience Required:

1. Degree qualification or equivalent experience with a focus on procurement or supply chain. Procurement certification (e.g., CIPS / APICS) is desirable.
2. Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the chemical industry. Exposure to dangerous goods is also desirable.
3. Fluent in English and German, both written and spoken.
4. Experience in transportation, import, and export. Familiarity with international freight is an advantage.
5. Strong IT skills, ideally with experience in Microsoft Office, SAP, and Power BI.
6. Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with both internal and external stakeholders, including suppliers.
7. A proactive and adaptable mindset, with proven experience in navigating ambiguous environments.
8. Strong data and metrics orientation.
