To support our team’s mission to proactively promote climate protection, we are looking for a
Senior Director Nature Based Solutions
- Team Management (Team of approx. 25 people)
- Responsibility for annual division budget and monitoring of deadlines
- Participate in business strategy to improve and deliver highest quality consulting services and products
- Growing new service lines / possibly developing new methodologies in Natural Climate Solutions
- Strategic support to structure the project pipeline and to cover the client’s demand of carbon credits
- Support in project proposals / providing technical feedback
- Drive new joint ventures in Africa / South East Asia and strengthen the business in Latin America
- Represent FL in different forums and corporate events
- Gathering intelligence about market trends, relevant regulation and policies
- Responsibility for short-, mid- and long-term Carbon Inventory management
- Develop a portfolio of carbon forestry project
Your profile
- University degree in economics, resource management, forestry, agriculture or related field
- Background in the “investment world”
- At least 10 years of experience in managing international teams
- At least 8 years of professional experience in sustainable land use and carbon markets
- Proven experience of simultaneous management of different projects in an international team
- Experience in the preparation of business and financial plans for natural carbon projects or similar (e.g. renewable energy)
- Fluent in English. Fluency in Spanish or French, additional languages are an advantage
- Willingness to travel
- Professional experience in Latin America, Africa or South-East Asia is an advantage
