For our European Headquarters in Frankfurt am Main area (Offenbach) we are looking for a:
As a CERT Engineer, you will become a member of the Security Technology Section and will manage operational stuff related to SOC. Your role will primarily involve handling SOC tickets, managing incidents, and assisting and guiding teams in patching and updating processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts, logs and events across the European IT environment and triage incidents in line with CERT processes.
- Investigate cyber security incidents from detection through containment, recovery and lessons learned.
- Coordinate remediation with HQ CERT, SOC, infrastructure, application and business teams.
- Support vulnerability and patch management, including impact assessment, prioritisation and stakeholder follow-up.
- Maintain incident documentation, playbooks and regular reporting for management, audit and compliance purposes.
- Analyse threat intelligence and contribute to continuous improvement of monitoring use cases, processes and tools.
- Communicate technical findings clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders across Europe.
Requirements
- Degree in Computer Science, Cyber Security, Informatics or a comparable qualification.
- Practical experience in CERT, SOC, incident response or IT security operations.
- Good understanding of cyber threats, log analysis, SIEM/EDR tools, firewalls and vulnerability management.
- Ability to assess incidents, coordinate remediation and document actions in a structured way.
- Strong analytical mindset, problem-solving skills and team-oriented communication.
- Fluent English (spoken and written); another European language is an advantage.
- Willingness to learn, share knowledge and work with international teams.
