YOUR ROLE

As a Communication Manager you are responsible for internal and external communication activities for all business lines, both in form of digital and conventional ways. You support the organization and the business with operational and strategic duties.

  • Develop and execute impactful internal and external communications strategies, narratives, measures, and KPIs for HCBE and all its existing and future brands.
  • Own, shape and coordinate HCBE’s and its brands’ internal and external media, communications tools, and channels (e.g., HCBEs websites, (sales promotion) newsletters, social media, etc.).
  • Serve as a business partner and strategic consultant for the executive team and relevant internal and external stakeholders alike (e.g., HR, Corporate Services, Sales, international teams, shareholders’, OEM’s communication experts, etc.).
  • Build a compelling image and reputation of HCBE and its brands to support fulfilment of vision, mission, and strategic initiatives.
  • Create powerful, multi-channel content to address target groups’ communicational needs and interests.
  • Enable target groups (esp. dealers) to work with HCBE’s portfolio by creating attractive advertising and explanatory media and material.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with journalists, trade media, local communities and the broad public as spokesperson and main contact.
  • Identify emerging topics and issues and develop proactive plans with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Create and manage point of sale campaigns (online and offline) while collaborating with Sales, Internal Sales teams and the OEM’s Marketing experts.
  • Monitor and measure the effectiveness of communications as well as public perception of HCBE and its existing and future brands.
  • Steer several external communications agencies (including own budget responsibility and cost control).
  • Oversee and monitor corporate identity and corporate design and ensure consistent messaging, branding, and communications policies (e.g., by creating and maintaining attractive comms materials, documents, and databases).

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED

Education and experience:

  • Successfully completed studies in communications, journalism or marketing or comparable training.
  • At least 5 years of professional experience in communications or marketing in an agency or company.
  • Experience in managing larger communication projects – from strategy development and content creation to the operational implementation of communication measures.
  • Experience in press and media relations as well as corporate publishing.
  • Strong writing, visual language and storytelling skills to present complex issues in a simple way.
  • Very good written and spoken German and English skills.

  • Creative thinking and courage to conceptually challenge the status quo and find new solutions.
  • Enjoy doing things for the first time or realigning them to leave your own footprint.
  • Team player with a hands-on mentality and an open demeanor with strategic foresight.
  • Willingness and readiness to make decisions.
  • Persuasiveness towards all stakeholders, including top management.
  • Knowledge and experience in the German automotive or automotive banking environment is not necessary, but a plus.
