To start shortly, we are currently seeking for our Vehicle Development division an
(Sr.) Engineer for light commercial vehicle development like Kia PV5 & 7 (M/F/D)
(Sr.) Entwicklungsingenieur für Nutzfahrzeuge wie Kia PV5 & PV7 (M/F/D)
You will be responsible for:
- Develop (e)LCV (Light Commercial Vehicle) body conversions (WAV, tipper, camper etc.), from concept to mass production in close collaboration and reporting to the Korean R&D center, local HQ & the European conversion suppliers.
- Join mass production trials in Korea and local production and supplier sites, review prototype master car, improve design until achieving right quality level and agreed performance targets.
- Clarify EU converters needs and requirements to adapt our (e)LCV design to fit the EU customer and converters needs.
- Generate clear and structured technical reports to highlight concerns, align improvements or define future activities.
- Study EU market, including competitors, making improvement proposals considering cost, weight and performance.
- Report European (e)LCV innovations through your solid network of industry experts, suppliers, conferences, start-ups & institute visits and report these solutions on cost, weight, performance towards Hyundai management.
- Continuously report the progress of your outputs toward EU/Korean management and your other partners.
Who we are looking for:
- You have solid development skills of WAV, cooling, camper, racking or other EU body conversions at LCV OEM or tier 1.
- Excellent market knowledge of (e)LCV market related to materials, processes, supply chains and requirements.
- Master degree and at least 5 years relevant work experience in the (e)LCV market related to body development.
- Experience in Body structure targets setting, requirements, regulations, engineering review and quality issues related to (e)LCV and experience in all the steps from initial concept, drawing release, quality follow up and start of production.
- Good ability to solve problems by conducting deep problem analyses, making structured breakdown to clarify root causes, elaborating detailed plans to achieve aligned goals and follow up procedures to achieve project goals.
- Clear, fact and deadline driven reporting while weighing cost, weight & performance to align decisions with management.
- Pro-active attitude, innovative mind with a strategic, organized & very flexible working style to build trust based relations.
- Good level of English in speech and writing, MS Office, CATIA V5 and drawing release/BOM skills, EU driver license B.
