Overview
As a Procurement Consultant at IAEA MTPS, you will provide specialized procurement expertise to major projects and help enhance the procurement framework. You will work with technical officers to define project requirements and strategies, conduct market research and supplier analysis, and support complex tenders across a matrix of stakeholders. Your work enables efficient sourcing of specialized equipment and services, aligning with MTPS’s mission to enable efficient, standards-based procurement. This role offers the chance to shape procurement practices and deliver large-scale, high-impact purchases.

Verantwortungsbereiche
- Provide specialist procurement expertise to project teams
- Coach technical officers in preparing requirements and procurement strategies
- Conduct market research, strategic sourcing, and supplier base analysis
- Develop procurement strategies and risk plans focusing on standardisation and long-term agreements
- Advise and support during procurement evaluations
- Prepare procurement documentation and reports for project portfolios
- Perform price analysis, benchmarking, and due diligence on suppliers
- Develop and track KPIs for supplier performance
- Support buyers on large, complex tenders involving multiple stakeholders
- Analyze procurement policies and SOPs to identify improvements
Zentrale Anforderungen
- University degree (bachelor)
- Minimum five years of progressively professional experience in high-volume procurement operations
- Fluency in English
- Experience in project coordination, supply chain, or related fields is an asset
- Knowledge of international trading practices is an advantage
- Knowledge of engineering principles or scientific instrumentation is an asset
