About the team you are joining As part of the Information and Data (I&D) Division, the Central Architecture and Data Office (CADO) team drives best‑in‑class architecture and data management practices across the organization. Our mission is to unify enterprise architecture, data standards, and integration practices to ensure solutions are coherent, scalable, and aligned with business priorities. We maximize the value of technology and data investments by defining enterprise architecture principles, data standards, and integration patterns, supporting domain‑specific architecture teams, and guiding solution design across the organization. The team promotes consistent, reusable, and scalable architectures, ensures high‑quality data practices, and prioritizes initiatives to enable informed decision‑making and long‑term business impact. Reporting to the Head of Enterprise Architecture, Corporate Support Services, the Senior Integration Architect will be responsible for defining and overseeing key aspects of IATA’s enterprise integration landscape, including establishing integration architecture standards and patterns, providing strategic oversight of integration platforms and middleware, and guiding the design and delivery of scalable, secure, and resilient system integrations across the organization.
What your day would be like As the Senior Architect, Integration, you will work across IATA’s enterprise technology landscape to ensure that systems, applications, and platforms are integrated in a coherent, secure, and scalable manner to support business processes and operational effectiveness. The main responsibilities include:
Defining and developing enterprise integration architecture, including standards, patterns, and best practices for APIs, messaging, and event‑driven integrations.
Designing and delivering key integration initiatives to ensure reliable, timely, and efficient exchange of data and services across enterprise and industry systems.
Governance of integration platforms, middleware, and interfaces to ensure consistency, reuse, and alignment with enterprise architecture principles.
Managing core integration assets (e.g., canonical models, interface contracts, and shared services) to maintain consistency and interoperability across the organization.
Providing architectural direction and guidance to solution teams, ensuring integrations are secure, resilient, and fit for purpose.
Promoting integration governance and ensuring compliance with architectural standards, security policies, and regulatory requirements.

Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, software engineering, information systems, or equivalent hands‑on technical experience.
8+ years of hands‑on experience designing, building, and operating system integrations in complex enterprise environments.
Strong practical experience implementing API‑led, event‑driven, and message‑based integrations.
Proven experience developing and troubleshooting integrations, including interface contracts, data transformations, error handling, and performance optimization.
Experience deploying and running integrations in cloud and hybrid environments, particularly on AWS, including containerized workloads using Kubernetes.
Ability to work closely with development teams, reviewing code, unblocking delivery, and providing day‑to‑day architectural guidance.
