About the team you are joining Join our Corporate Services division as we embark on a continuous-improvement and digital transformation journey. The ambition of Corporate Services is to be the trusted proactive partner providing data-driven corporate services for the business, while upholding the highest fiduciary standards.
The Corporate Services division encompasses the following departments: Corporate Finance, Treasury and Tax, FP&A, Regional Finance across five regional offices, Internal audit, Corporate Risk and Compliance, Corporate Administration and Procurement.
Reporting to the Director of Sanctions, AML, and CTF Compliance, the Senior Manager Compliance Programs and Projects will play a pivotal role in overseeing the Compliance function's involvement in the development and launch of new products and services.
This role entails identifying and managing regulatory risks, leading the creation and implementation of compliance programs, and ensuring all new initiatives adhere to regulatory standards. The incumbent will develop mitigation plans, ensuring a robust compliance framework to support innovative product development while maintaining regulatory integrity.
What your day would be like
Assist cross-divisional project teams with the assessment of regulatory risks.
Design and implement new compliance programs or solutions according to agreed action plans.
Identify and execute compliance enhancement projects for operational efficiency, including:
System Enhancement:
Maximizing the potential of existing technologies (e.g., Salesforce and Accuity).
Process Automation:
Integrating technology ecosystems to minimize manual processes and increase "straight-through" DD processes.
Lead and support the Legal team in conducting, reviewing, and analyzing legal reviews related to projects with a regulatory compliance impact.
Support the relevant IT teams in implementing technological enhancements and solutions related to new or existing compliance controls and processes.
Develop Business Requirement Documents (BRDs) that map the operational implementation of new compliance processes and controls.
We would love to hear from you if
Strong financial and banking background and/or understanding of IATA’s financial services & products.
Strong understanding of AML, economic sanctions, and Finreg risks, as well as associated mitigation plans.
Exceptional writing skills with the ability to draft reports, policies, manuals, procedures, and business correspondence for a senior-level audience.
A graduate degree in Finance, Business, Accounting or Law is required (e.g., MBA, LLM, CPA).
Direct compliance and project management-related experience (7+ years) in the financial services industry is preferred.
Candidates with a background in Project Management, Audit, and/or Operational Risk functions will be considered.
CAMS and/or CFE certified individuals are preferred.
Fluency in English and French (written and spoken). Knowledge of other languages would be an asset.
