Manager Data Collection in Geneva

Overview In this role you will lead the Data Collection Platform, aligning business needs with data governance and technical delivery. You will collaborate with Data Engineering, governance stakeholders, and industry partners to shape, launch, and continuously improve a central platform for data submissions. You will drive secure, scalable data intake and integration within IATA’s data ecosystem. Leistungen / Benefits flexible work options (remote and hybrid) work from abroad policy birthday off equal pay and family-friendly policies volunteering time off career growth with access to 30,000 courses Verantwortungsbereiche Act as the functional owner of the Data Collection Platform, managing roadmap, priorities, releases, and continuous improvement Translate business needs into functional and technical requirements including workflows, user stories, wireframes, and process documentation Coordinate with Data Engineering to validate functionality, support testing, document data flows, and ensure delivery meets objectives Oversee onboarding of airlines and data partners to ensure secure, consistent submissions Define and document data collection processes, submission requirements, validation rules, controls, and end-user guidance Support integration with the broader IATA data ecosystem (catalogues, quality processes, reference data, reporting) Promote platform adoption through training, user guides, and communications for internal users and external partners Zentrale Anforderungen Postgraduate degree in relevant discipline At least 5 years of experience in data management, data platforms, business analysis, product ownership, or similar roles with integrated data solutions Experience with data collection, transfer, validation, integration, stewardship, manipulation, or migration processes Hands-on experience with Collibra and knowledge of data catalogue, metadata management, and governance concepts Understanding of secure data exchange and integration (SFTP/FTP, APIs, AWS S3, cloud storage, batch ingestion) and familiarity with modern data tooling (AWS, dbt) Strong stakeholder management, communication, and documentation skills Ability to learn quickly, adapt to change, and operate in evolving environments Knowledge of IATA systems and industry data workflows is advantageous Strong communication Stakeholder management Documentation and training Collibra data catalogue metadata management
