This challenge awaits you:
In order to meet the increasing requirements in drivetrain development with a growing number of variants, we are evaluating new methods in the areas of simulation, AI and big data in our department with the aim of continuously optimizing our development processes. One focus for the efficient use of new methods is porting them into tools and web services with connections to storage and computing solutions according to the state of the art and the requirements of our developers. So if you are familiar with Docker, microservices and continuous integration, are interested in tool development and are not afraid of analyzing and developing complex algorithms and methods, then you have come to the right place.

Your Tasks:

• Co-design and development of a powerful simulation and optimization framework
• Further development of the infrastructure in the context of Dockerization, CI and CD
• Development of algorithms in the backend as well as the application and user guidance in the frontend
• Analysis and implementation of modern simulation methods
• Close networking and collaboration with other research teams such as data science, application and control engineering

Necessary Skills:

• Ongoing technical or scientific studies in the fields of computer science, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, physics, mathematics or a related course of study
• Good programming skills in Python and preferably C++

Desired Skills:

• Interest in cloud computing and experience in using Linux as an operating system
• High level of commitment and perceptiveness to acquire new skills paired with an independent and reliable way of working

Remuneration is based on our collective wage and salary agreement. The current monthly salary for this position is EUR 979.00.
