Introduction

As a Technology Sales Engineer (internally known as ‘Brand Technical Specialist’) within IBM Storage, you will co-create with clients and colleagues in one of the most trusted, respected, and awarded teams in its field. Your Role And Responsibilities

As a Brand Technical Specialist for IBM Fusion, you will work closely with clients to understand their challenges and demonstrate how IBM’s hybrid cloud and storage solutions provide value. You will leverage your expertise in IBM Fusion, Red Hat OpenShift, and container-native storage to design and present innovative solutions that facilitate digital transformation. Building trusted client relationships, guiding complex technology decisions, and ensuring successful adoption of IBM’s hybrid cloud storage offerings will be key aspects of your role.

Required Technical And Professional Expertise

  • Experience in OpenShift administration
  • Expertise in software-defined storage administration within OpenShift or Kubernetes environments
  • Knowledge of data protection for containerized applications (e.g., OADP, Velero)
  • Proficiency in Linux administration, including installation, networking, and storage management
  • Strong technical sales presentation skills
  • Fluency in German and English

Preferred Technical And Professional Experience

  • Red Hat certifications (EX188, EX280)
  • Experience with hyperconverged infrastructure (HCI) concepts
  • Development experience with containerized applications, including CI/CD pipelines
  • Knowledge of GitOps methodologies
  • Infrastructure automation using Ansible or Terraform
