Our exciting new client is currently searching for a Head of Nanofabrication Manufacturing to lead the development and scale-up of implantable micro-electrode technology for next-generation brain-computer interfaces.
Key responsibilities
- Build and lead a high-performing microfabrication/manufacturing team.
- Design next-generation multi-channel electrode arrays, including layouts, materials, geometries and fabrication processes.
- Lead cleanroom manufacturing using techniques such as thin-film processing, photolithography, sputtering, etching/RIE and wet chemistry.
- Select and assess materials for long-term biocompatibility, stability and signal quality.
- Scale manufacturing from prototype development to reproducible, production-ready processes.
- Proven leadership/team-building experience.
- Strong hands-on expertise in microfabrication and cleanroom processes.
- Knowledge of MEMS devices and processes
- Understanding of how materials and fabrication affect biocompatibility and neural signal quality.
- Entrepreneurial, hands-on and comfortable taking projects from R&D through to scalable manufacturing.
- Degree/PhD in neuroengineering, microsystems, electrical engineering, physics, biomedical engineering or a related field.
