An exciting opportunity has opened up for a Principal Digital Design Engineer with expertise in Digital Design and Verification . This role is ideal for a strategic thinker with a robust engineering background who thrives in complex, dynamic environments and excels at leading multidisciplinary teams to pioneer ground-breaking technology solutions.
About the Role:
In this senior-level position, the Principal Digital Design Engineer will be recognised as a trusted expert in areas such as chip design, chip verification, processor design, and TLM modelling. You’ll address challenging technical issues, collaborating with other domain specialists to deliver effective solutions in a timely manner. You will play a key role in defining project scopes, creating robust verification strategies, and designing microarchitectures aligned with product goals and industry standards.
As a Principal Digital Design Engineer , you will:
- Lead with Expertise: Take full ownership of crucial aspects of design and verification for single-chip solutions with AI capabilities, collaborating with teams across analog, digital, back-end, and software disciplines.
- Drive Strategic Planning: Coordinate and oversee large-scale projects, developing verification workflows, identifying risks, and ensuring timely delivery. You’ll lead workstreams that drive product innovation forward.
- Shape Processes and Standards: Manage the development of procedures, templates, and guidelines, continuously refining them for efficiency and adaptability based on industry trends and team feedback.
- Mentor and Develop Talent: Lead a cross-functional team, guiding both senior and junior engineers. You’ll delegate effectively, support growth, and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
- Support as Deputy Manager: Step into a broader leadership role by assisting with human resources, programme management, operations, and branding, serving as a key point of contact when the Design Centre Manager is unavailable.
Qualifications:
- Academic Background: Degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering.
- Industry Experience: Proven experience in chip design, verification, or related fields, with demonstrated expertise in:
- Conceptualising and defining verification strategies for scalable IPs and SoCs.
- Front-end design and verification, including power-aware simulations and timing closure.
- RTL design (Verilog) and verification using SystemVerilog, including UVM and TLM modelling.
- Driving verification closures through RTL and functional coverage metrics.
