Analog/Mixed-Signal IC Design Engineer – medical
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Analog/Mixed-Signal IC Design Engineer to join our team in developing the next generation of brain-computer interfaces. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to groundbreaking advancements in HealthTech, working on implantable chips that will transform lives and push the limits of innovation. Junior to senior level experience will be considered.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement analog and mixed-signal circuit blocks for the acquisition and processing of neural signals in the micro-volt range
- Develop core analog blocks like LNAs, adjustable gain stages, and high-resolution ADCs, while adhering to stringent power and thermal constraints
- Perform transistor-level circuit design, oversee physical layout, and verify designs comprehensively through simulation
- Guide designs through tape-out and silicon validation, analyze laboratory measurement data, and iterate on subsequent generations of the ASIC
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and development partners to shape the system architecture of the implant
Qualifications
- A degree or doctorate in Electrical Engineering, Microelectronics, Physics, or a related field, with outstanding academic performance
- Proven experience in AMS IC Design specifically low-noise analog circuits and a deep understanding of the challenges associated with processing biological signals
- Silicon-proven designs in LNA’s and ADC’s, especially in multi-channel implementations
- Strong knowledge of device physics to analog IC design
- Excellent understanding of PPA trade-off (power, performance [noise and linearity], and area) in analog and mixed-signal design
- Excellent knowledge of analog design flow in Cadence Virtuoso
- Experience with HV BCD technology is a plus
