Senior Director of Operations

I am partnering with a long-standing client, a global leader in high-end electro-optical and photonic technology. As they enter a significant new phase of investment and growth, they are seeking a Director of Operations to drive and optimise their operational strategy.

This is a key leadership role with a broad remit across the full operational lifecycle – including production planning, capacity management, supply chain, and ongoing transformation programmes. The business is currently rolling out a major ERP renewal, and the successful candidate will be expected to take an active role in leading this change while building scalable, data-driven processes.

The ideal candidate will bring the following:

• Substantial experience in semiconductor fabrication or complex electronics manufacturing environments.
• A strong technical foundation is essential.
• Experience challenging existing ways of working, and bring structure and improved processes to a high-tech, international operation.
• Fluency in German is essential, as day-to-day communication within the on-site team is conducted in German.

This opportunity offers a competitive salary in the region of €100k to €125k~, plus a 20% performance bonus and equity participation. The role is based in Bemshiem Germany with hybrid working (three days per week on-site) and relocation support for candidates moving from abroad or other regions.
