We are Team Tyrell and responsible for the homepage and the header at idealo. Our team consists of a team lead, 4 engineers, a product owner and a designer.

To help us out here and there, we are looking for a working student with some experience in state-of-the-art frontend development.

Join us and help optimize and maintain our services, ensuring performance and learning from an experienced, agile team.

About your new role

• You will join the department Product Exploration, which is responsible for every aspect of assisting users to find the right products.
• You will work with modern technologies and frameworks like ReactJS, Typescript and Next.js, Kotlin, Spring-Boot, GitHub Actions, AWS, Kafka and Docker.
• You will help the team to maintain a high-quality code base and everything around it.

Job requirements

Skills & Requirements

• You are studying business informatics, computer science, mathematics or a similar course of study and are enrolled for at least one more year.
• You have practical experience in frontend development, ideally with TypeScript, ReactJS and CSS.
• You are self-driven and eager to learn new things to improve existing solutions.
• You like to work in an agile team, doing lots of pair programming and having a constant view on sustainable software development with a focus on short delivery and feedback cycles.
• Writing tests goes without saying for you.
• Fluently communicating in English is no problem for you, German is a plus.
• Contributing to open source projects is a plus!
