Senior Broker, W&I - DACH

Overview

In this role you will lead the structuring and placement of warranty and indemnity (W&I) insurance for DACH transactions, working closely with deal teams through signing and closing. You will translate legal and transactional expertise into commercial solutions for private equity sponsors, corporates, and law firms, while keeping one foot in the deal process. The position emphasizes client-facing delivery, underwriter negotiations, and coverage advisory, with a clear impact on the growth of the firm’s DACH proposition. This is a hybrid, cross-border opportunity based in Frankfurt or Munich to shape the market with a partner-led, outcomes-focused approach.

Verantwortungsbereiche

• Lead structuring and placement of W&I risks on German, Austrian, and Swiss transactions
• Negotiate policy terms with underwriters and advise on coverage, diligence scope, and exclusions
• Support clients through the claims process when needed
• Build and deepen relationships with private equity houses, corporate development teams, and law firms in the DACH region
• Contribute to the growth of the firm’s DACH franchise by staying close to transactions from early bids to signing and closing

Zentrale Anforderungen

• Experience as corporate M&A or private equity lawyer trained at a leading international or top-tier firm
• Solid experience negotiating SPAs on DACH transactions
• Fluent in German and English
• Strong technical judgement and ability to hold ground with clients and underwriters
• Interest in moving into a commercial, client-facing broking role
