Responsibilities
- Assuring punctual production of prototypes for internal and external customers
- Responsible for manufacturing engineering in customer program teams
- Supporting remote manufacturing locations and distant development locations on site
- Ensuring different project phases (staged release process)
- Helping the plants to keep a high level of standardization of material, tooling, machines, processes and documentation
- Defining and implementing KPI's
- Interface between customer projects and manufacturing related subprojects (e.g. Process engineering, Material development)
- Continuous learning, propose improvements on machines, processes, testers, traceability, sensor functionality
- Defining requirement specification of new production equipment due to new products
- Supporting smooth integration of technology/products into mass production
Profile
- University degree in technical or mechanical engineering
- Ability to work autonomously and strong organizational skills
- High awareness of production is relevant
- Performance indicators including health, safety & environment
- Project management experience, strong knowledge of manufacturing (at least one-year of industrial plant experience)
- Several years of experience in an automotive environment is an asset
- Fluency in English is required and German is considered an asset
- Excellent knowledge of MS Office tools, basic knowledge of SAP and database
