Director IT Infrastructure (m / f / d)

Job Responsibilities

1. Manage the portfolio of projects, tasks, and incidents in the area of IT Infrastructure.
2. Manage the portfolio of IT Assets in the IT Infrastructure (commercial, technical).
3. Provide, organize, and ensure service delivery and business continuity to IGEL\’s business departments.
4. Provide guidance and leadership to the team.
5. Work closely within IGEL\’s management team.
6. Develop skills of individual team members.
7. Conduct hiring interviews and performance appraisals.
8. Contribute to IGEL\’s end-to-end business process optimization in collaboration with business departments.
9. Initiate, plan, and deliver projects in IT Infrastructure and IT Asset Management.
10. Recommend and advocate industry trends, best practices, and future-proof architecture for IT Infrastructure.
11. Execute escalation and coordination of major incidents.
12. Manage the development of the IT Management team.
13. Involve, contract, and manage external service providers based on SLAs and budgets.
14. Work closely with executive management on critical issues and organizational policies.

Experience and Qualifications

• Bachelor\’s or Master\’s degree in business informatics, computer science, or a comparable field, or equivalent experience demonstrating conceptual strength and above-average comprehension.
• 15+ years of professional experience and 10+ years of management responsibility.
• Strategic ability to guide the IT Infrastructure area within IGEL\’s overall business context.
• Extensive expertise in IT Infrastructure.
• Extensive experience with ITIL and ITIL-based processes, process design, system management, and project execution.
• Proven track record of delivering technical transformation projects on time and within budget.
• Strong communication skills, fluent in both oral and written English.
