Job Purpose
The Business & Legal Affairs Manager will oversee all aspects of business and legal operations, ensuring timely, value-driven support for both the company and its clients. This role involves close collaboration with internal teams and coordination with external legal resources, playing a critical role in safeguarding our business interests and enhancing our partnerships within the music and technology landscape.
Key Responsibilities
- Contract Management
- Draft, negotiate, and manage contracts tailored to our business needs and regulatory landscape.
- Develop and maintain a suite of contract templates for efficiency and consistency.
- Regularly update contracts and partnership agreements to reflect evolving business and industry requirements.
- Legal Compliance & Documentation
- Oversee and update the company’s general terms and conditions.
- Handle ownership conflicts, claims, and copyright infringements (both inbound and outbound).
- Monitor contract terms, exclusivity clauses, and product obligations.
- Participate in the optimization and documentation of processes to improve overall efficiency (SOPs).
- Content Protection & Fraud Prevention
- Contribute to the content protection and fraud unit, implementing proactive measures to safeguard our assets and those of our partners.
- Legal Support & Advisory
- Provide legal support to customer operations and sales teams, ensuring alignment with legal and business standards.
- Coordinate with external lawyers as needed for specialized expertise.
- Legal Process Design
- Design, document, and refine legal processes to enhance operational efficiency.
- Integrate legal processes with technology to streamline and automate workflows.

- Technical Skills & Attributes
- Proficiency in Google Workspace or MS Office.
- Familiarity with tools like Slack, Notion, Airtable, Zapier or similar platforms is a plus.
- Experience with YouTube, TikTok, and Meta CMS is a welcome bonus.
- Tech-savvy with a keen interest in AI, automation, and emerging technologies.
