Location: Hybrid – Cologne (Rheinauhafen) – 3 days week in the office, 2 days remote (Tue and Thu) Team: Product • Reports to the CEO • Partners with Engineering team Please share a single link (Figma, PDF, or live URL) to one project that best illustrates your end-to-end product-design process for a B2B or SaaS interface Shape the future of incident response UX ilert helps thousands of DevOps and IT teams, from fast-growing scale-ups to global enterprises, detect, understand, and resolve incidents before they impact customers. Our platform powers always-on operations, and we are now building the next generation of agentic systems: an AI SRE agent that learns from telemetry, reasons about incidents, and autonomously assists engineers during critical moments. As our first dedicated Product Designer, you will define the UX foundation for this new paradigm. You will own the end-to-end design of complex, high-stakes workflows and translate deep understanding of our technical audience into intuitive interfaces for both web and mobile. This role is equal parts discovery, product thinking, and interaction design, not just UI polish. Tasks Discover & define Conduct user interviews, workflow analyses, and problem-framing sessions to deeply understand DevOps/SRE personas, their mental models, and their operational pain points. Translate insights into clear problem statements, user journeys, and design hypotheses. Collaborate with Product and Engineering to define success metrics for usability, comprehension, and incident-response efficiency (e.g., MTTR, triage accuracy, alert fatigue reduction). Design & develop Design end-to-end user experiences, from low-fidelity sketches to high-fidelity prototypes that express interaction flows, progressive disclosure, and edge-case handling. Develop new UI/UX paradigms for agentic workflows , including conversational interfaces, action recommendations, autonomous task previews, and human-in-the-loop validation states. Create data-dense dashboards, timelines, RCA views, and real-time surfaces that balance clarity with depth. Deliver & iterate Provide detailed specifications and partner closely with engineers during implementation. Validate designs with qualitative feedback loops (user testing, product analytics). Operate with pragmatic startup speed: accessibility and A/B testing are welcome skills but not top-priority constraints in this role. Requirements 3+ years designing production SaaS interfaces end-to-end Portfolio that proves user-centric thinking, visual craft and shipped impact Mastery of Figma (auto-layout, variants, tokens) and basic motion/animation Hands-on with design systems, component libraries and responsive layouts Fluency in English (our working language); German is a bonus Solid grasp of HTML/CSS limits and possibilities – enough to speak dev Bonus points Designed for technical audiences (DevOps, SRE, cloud engineers) Exposure to real-time data products or event-driven interfaces. Experience designing AI-powered workflows (assistants, copilots, agent interfaces). Benefits Product-centric – 100 % focused on solving a mission-critical pain felt by every always-on business | Hybrid freedom – 2 days remote by default; gorgeous Rheinauhafen roof terrace when you’re in town | Focus > meetings – We time-box syncs, favour async docs and protect maker time | 28 days off – …plus public holidays | Commute perks – subsidised public transport| When you apply, include a single link (Figma, PDF, or live URL) to one project that best illustrates your end-to-end product-design process for a B2B or SaaS interface.
