Nurse / Family Respite and Paediatric Care / 80% / Permanent Contract
Job Description
Attached to the family respite team, which extends its support mission to families by managing and developing paediatric care services, the nurse provides home care for children requiring technical care usually delivered in a hospital setting.
Your missions and responsibilities
- Provide and guarantee individualised care to children, taking into account their physical, psychological, emotional, spiritual, social, and cultural needs - Act as a referent and make decisions within the framework of interventions with families and children - Commit concretely to supporting and assisting families by developing a relationship of trust with each family member and encouraging communication - Coordinate care with our partners within the network - Participate in promoting clinical practices through an interprofessional approach to encourage diversification and quality of services in complex situations - Keep skills up to date in line with the evolution of professional practices - Contribute to the institutional mission aimed at promoting home care in a safe and stimulating environment for children.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing or equivalent training, supplemented by postgraduate training in child, adolescent, and family health - Experience in supporting families in crisis situations - Excellent interpersonal skills - Ability to work independently - Hospital experience in paediatric care - Specific theoretical knowledge related to the impact of illness on the family, such as the Calgary model and systemic approach - Contribute to the evolution and diversification of the team’s activities - Aptitude for interdisciplinary and interprofessional work within the care network - Mobility throughout the canton, driving licence required.
