Qualified Occupational Therapist / 60-80% / Permanent Contract
Job Description Occupational therapy aims to maintain, acquire or recover optimal autonomy in daily life, professional activities, and leisure, with the greatest possible safety. It acts according to the potential and constraints of the person’s environment. Based in temporary care units or in home care branches spread across the canton, the occupational therapist provides services independently, respecting the client’s lifestyle, beliefs, values, and culture. They work interdisciplinarily and interprofessionally, respecting the institution’s mission and objectives. Your missions and responsibilities Provide occupational therapy services in collaboration and synergy with the multidisciplinary team, on medical prescription, to people limited in their ability to act due to illness, accident, or age-related issues. Promote the development and/or maintenance of the patient’s independence and autonomy in daily activities through rehabilitation and re-adaptation measures. Coordinate group and community activities of the unit.
Qualifications Occupational therapy diploma Red Cross recognition Right to practice (for the Canton of Geneva) or procedures already underway Diverse experience of at least
two years
in hospital, nursing home, or home care settings Experience in leading therapeutic group activities Ability to work
multidisciplinarily and independently Good knowledge of the socio-health fabric and the Geneva aid and care network will be an asset Possession of a driving licence.
