Your mission
At ImFusion, we solve computer vision problems in endoscopic imaging, bringing cutting‑edge research directly to the operating room for real‑world clinical impact.
We are looking for experienced researchers with strong backgrounds in 3D computer vision and deep learning, who enjoy solving challenging real‑world problems and turning state‑of‑the‑art research into clinical products. Previous experience in medical and/or endoscopic imaging is not required.
Typical topics include
- 3D reconstruction
- Monocular depth estimation
- SLAM, visual localization and tracking
- Surface registration
- Tissue tracking and segmentation
- 6D pose estimation
- Real‑time vision systems
While this position is associated with our Munich office, we support remote and hybrid work arrangements. Candidates may be based in Germany or elsewhere within the EU, subject to legal and operational requirements.
Your profile
Must-have
- PhD in Computer Vision, Machine Learning, Robotics or a related field
- Strong expertise in 3D computer vision and deep learning
- Experience in any above mentioned topics is highly relevant
- Experience developing real‑time ML and computer vision systems
- Excellent Python skills
Nice-to-have
- Medical and/or endoscopic imaging
- Geometric deep learning
- Neural reconstruction / rendering
- Robotics perception
- Model deployment (TensorRT, ONNX, PyTorch Dynamo, etc.)
- Strong C++ skills
A strong publication record demonstrated through publications at leading venues is highly valued.
Researchers from robotics, autonomous driving, AR/VR, spatial AI and related fields are strongly encouraged to apply.
