As Senior Research Scientist in our Ultrasound group at ImFusion, you will work on customer projects, further develop our state-of-the-art visual computing software framework, and share your knowledge and experience with the team and customers. You will have the opportunity to innovate in various medical applications and contribute significantly to our framework in Python and C++.

Your responsibilities include:

• Developing medical imaging algorithms focusing on real-time interventional imaging
• Performing multi-modal image segmentation, registration, and reconstruction using classical and AI-based approaches
• Contributing to the productization of our interventional imaging framework
• Managing projects in collaboration with industry customers
• Publishing results and representing the company at conferences

Your profile:

• PhD in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or related fields
• Strong programming skills in C++ and Python
• Industry experience is a plus
• Experience with medical imaging modalities (CT, MRI, Ultrasound, etc.)
• Knowledge of Deep Learning frameworks like PyTorch
• Willingness and ability to learn quickly
• Reliable team player
• Proficiency in English
