ph3Postdoctoral Position in Stakeholder Engagement /h3 pWe invite applications for a postdoctoral position at the Transdisciplinarity‑Lab (TdLab) of the Department of Environmental Systems Science at ETH Zürich. The position is full‑time, 100 %, fixed‑term, and located in Zurich. /p h3Project background /h3 pThe role is part of the newly established National Competence Centre in Research (NCCR CLIM+). NCCR CLIM+ supports Switzerland’s transformation toward a climate‑resilient society and trains a new generation of experts with strong disciplinary and transdisciplinary expertise. /p h3Job description /h3 pIn the NCCR CLIM+ storylines are key to achieving actionable knowledge and cross‑disciplinary communication. Storylines are scientifically based narratives that represent plausible futures and extreme climate outcomes in their physical and social dimensions. You will be responsible for embedding the storylines in their societal environment. For each storyline you will: /p ul liIdentify the most important stakeholders and establish a network that connects them with the storyline’s researchers. /li liDevelop, implement and evaluate a Theory of Change with the network. /li liDesign, implement and evaluate the transdisciplinary process of engagement and co‑production of knowledge and practices. /li /ul pYou are welcome to further develop transdisciplinary methods and theories and to share your achievements through talks and publications. /p pThe position is for three years initially and can be extended. The starting date is as soon as possible. /p h3Profile /h3 ul liHas a doctorate in environmental or sustainability sciences. /li liIs experienced in designing, implementing and evaluating transdisciplinary research processes. /li liHas excellent interpersonal skills for collaborating with researchers of different disciplines as well as with stakeholders from various sectors of society. /li liCan manage situations of conflicting communication, power and interests, seeking pragmatic solutions. /li liIs interested in critically questioning transdisciplinary theories and methods to advance them. /li liIs fluent in English and German. /li /ul h3We offer /h3 pTdLab’s expertise lies in theories and practices of transdisciplinary research and teaching.
