Most engineering teams are experimenting with AI coding tools.
This team is actively changing how software gets built around them.
This isn't about prompting AI and accepting whatever it produces.
You'll be expected to guide AI agents, understand and challenge their output, make architectural decisions and take ownership of the software being shipped.
What you'll be working on
You'll join a small development team currently made up of two engineers and work across new internal and customer-facing applications.
Projects include:
- Building a custom patient application
- Developing web applications across front and back end
- Building and working with Python-based AI agents
- Automating the recognition and allocation of scanned patient documents
- Working with complex healthcare data and SQL/data warehouse environments
- Using AI coding agents to accelerate development while ensuring generated code meets architectural, security and engineering standards
The environment currently includes Angular, Java, Spring Boot, .NET, Python, SQL and Kubernetes , but this is not a framework-specific hire .
Strong engineering fundamentals matter more than whether you've spent the last five years working in one particular stack.
What they're looking for
- Have solid full-stack engineering experience , ideally with a strong back-end foundation
- Understand software architecture beyond simply implementing tickets
- Are already comfortable with AI-assisted / agentic software development , or genuinely want to work this way
- Can review, challenge and improve AI-generated code
- Understand security, scalability and engineering best practice
- Have strong SQL fundamentals
- Are comfortable moving between technologies rather than being tied to one language or framework
- Can communicate directly with stakeholders and customers when required
- Speak German , as this is currently the team's primary working language
- Offices in Hamburg and Munich
- Initially, expect some office time while onboarding — potentially 1–2 days per week
