Our client is the asset management arm of a leading European CRE debt and equity fund. The fund focuses on pan-European real estate lending and investments across the capital stack and are now looking to hire an Analyst into their team in Berlin. This individual will take responsibility for the underwriting, structuring and deal execution of commercial real estate debt transactions, predominately across Germany and the Nordics.
Main responsibilities
- Work with transaction originator and portfolio manager to underwrite new deals being involved in the whole process from deal screening through to deal execution.
- Build investment cash flow models for new deals and write investment committee papers.
- Manage the deal due diligence process.
- Attend site visits and probe construction progress.
- Monitoring of facility agreements and other contractual arrangements including compliance with financial covenants and delivery of asset management milestones.
Requirements
- Understanding of credit risks and mitigants for lenders.
- Strong familiarity with real estate finance legal documentation.
- Good technical knowledge of available transaction security and typical enforcement options.
- Strong modelling skills with experience in building, adjusting and updating excel cashflow models.
