YOUR IMPACT

To meet our ambition, we must push distributed systems beyond what people consider possible!

As an experienced (Staff / Principal / Lead) Infrastructure Engineer, you will design, deploy, and automate the foundational infrastructure that supports our cloud storage platform. This role focuses on end-to-end provisioning of physical and virtual infrastructure, from server and network configuration to operating system deployment. You will play a vital role in enabling both Day 1 (initial setup) and Day 2 (ongoing operations) activities, ensuring our systems are scalable, automated, and highly available.

IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL

1. Provision, deploy, and configure physical servers and networking components to support cloud infrastructure.
2. Design and implement efficient networking solutions with a focus on latency, throughput, and overall network performance optimization.
3. Configure and optimize bare-metal servers as well as hypervisors and management of virtual machines (VMs) across diverse hardware providers (HPs).
4. Collaborate with hardware providers to align on system design and integration requirements.
5. Automate the provisioning, scaling, and maintenance of hardware infrastructure to ensure rapid and seamless expansion.
6. Consult on and contribute to the design of a cloud-like ecosystem, providing technical guidance on infrastructure strategy.

YOU COULD BE A GREAT FIT FOR THE ROLE IF YOU HAVE

1. In-depth knowledge of Linux systems, including customization, scripting, and system optimization.
2. Proficiency in L2/L3 networking concepts, including redundancy and load-balancing, and experience with performance optimization (latency, throughput).
3. Familiarity with IPMI, iDRAC, and other hardware management tools.
4. Strong scripting skills with Shell, Bash, or similar languages.
5. Experience with hypervisors (e.g., KVM) and managing virtual machines (VMs) at scale.

BONUS POINTS

1. Experience with Kubernetes deployment and operation.
2. Knowledge of hardware supply chain, vendor management, and capacity planning.
