Aufgaben
You will be responsible for consolidating development processes, operating the platform and scaling the engineering team both locally and remotely.
With proven engineering management expertise and experience working with a SaaS product using modern cloud technologies you will ensure continuous efficient development and business operations.
You will be leading and scaling our engineering team, ensuring the successful execution of our product roadmap and delivering high-quality software on time.
With a focus on optimizing our development processes, implementing best practices, and fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement within cross-functional teams, including engineering, product management/owner and design, you will translate the company’s technology vision into tangible, scalable solutions.
In addition, you will ensure that our technology infrastructure and related operations are robust, secure, and capable of supporting our ambitious growth plans.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING …
- Oversee engineering team operations and execution of product development.
- Optimize engineering processes and implement best practices.
- Manage and scale the engineering team, focusing on hiring, training, and development locally and remotely.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align technical efforts with company goals.
- Ensure timely and high-quality software delivery within budget.
- Ensure the robustness, security, and scalability of technology infrastructure and operations.
- Provide leadership in day-to-day activities and team management.
Qualifikation
WHAT YOU WILL HAVE DONE …
- Proven experience and up-to-date hands-on skills in developing a SaaS product with deep understanding of
- Cloud DevOps practices and infrastructure management
- Continuous delivery pipelines that deliver quality and value to customers in short iterative cycles
- Modern/public-API development (Java Spring Boot/C# .NET Core or similar)
- Single page application development with React/Angular/Vue or similar
- In-depth knowledge, experience and current skills regarding our tech stack (Java/Spring Boot, AWS/Kubernetes/PostGres, React, AntD, Terraform etc)
- Evangelizing, educating and training our dev team regarding our tech stack, architecture and technology.
- 10+ years of experience as a software engineer and 5+ years in a leadership role
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical vision and strategy to various stakeholders
- Speaking both German (C1+) and English (C1) either on a native or bilingual speaker level or with full professional proficiency
- Experience in scaling teams and processes.
- Strong leadership and people management skills, with a focus on mentoring and team development.
- Ability to think strategically while remaining hands-on when necessary.
