Tasks

You will be the first member of a team building an AI Engine for Property Management, ultimately functioning as a Virtual Accountant for the sector. Your responsibilities include:

• Designing and implementing AI/ML solutions to automate key workflows within our ERP platform, such as transaction categorization, anomaly detection, and document processing, using cutting-edge technologies with high success rates.
• Leading the development of our AI assistant to support users in daily accounting and property management tasks, including answering financial queries, suggesting actions, and auto-filling data.
• Collaborating with product managers, engineers, and domain experts to identify automation opportunities.
• Integrating AI models into our production environment with scalability and reliability in mind.
• Continuously evaluating and improving AI performance based on real-world data and feedback.

Requirements

What you bring:

• 5+ years of experience as a software engineer.
• Proven experience in developing and deploying AI/ML solutions in production environments.
• Strong knowledge of NLP, LLMs, and AI agent frameworks.
• Hands-on experience with AI/ML tools and platforms like Python, TensorFlow, PyTorch, LangChain, OpenAI API, or similar.
• Ability to work autonomously and in cross-functional teams.
• A startup mindset: proactive, flexible, and eager to shape AI strategy in a fast-growing company, preferably with a focus on recognition tasks in accounting.
• Passion for building well-structured solutions and leading technical direction by example.
• Attention to quality and effective use of testing practices to ensure successful deliveries.
• Impact on products with complex workflows, translating them into functional software.
• Proficiency in German and English at a professional level, with willingness to work in an international team.

Nice to have:

• Familiarity with SaaS and ERP systems.
