Job Description Are you passionate about cutting-edge semiconductor technology and want to work in an environment where software meets hardware at the highest level? As part of our software support team at IMS, you will be responsible for deploying and integrating our multi-beam mask writer software in high-tech fabrication plants around the world -- directly at the sites of the world's leading chip manufacturers. You will continuously support the automation and optimization of these tasks, drive project ownership, and contribute to improving our tools and processes. Your responsibilities:
Deploy and integrate our multi-beam mask writer software at IMS and on customer sites
Prepare tool-specific configurations and perform regular software and configuration upgrades on customer and IMS tools and testbenches
Conduct FAT (factory acceptance tests) including full documentation
Troubleshoot issues by analyzing data, identifying root causes, and proposing solutions
Report troubleshooting activities, observations, test outcomes, and proposed solutions via Jira ticketing system
Provide expert support to onsite engineers
Drive ongoing improvement, automation, and optimization of team tasks
Collaborate closely with R&D engineers and other stakeholders to develop best solutions
Create technical documentation
Take ownership of projects and work independently
Fulfill on-call duties (one weekend every two months)
Qualifications
A technical degree (e.g., computer science, electrical engineering, physics) or at least 3 years of relevant technical experience
Very good knowledge of Linux-based operating systems (understanding of system architectures)
Solid understanding of networking fundamentals
Analytical thinking and the ability to tackle complex challenges
Resilience and the ability to perform well under pressure
Flexibility and willingness to travel a few times per year (up to one month per trip)
A hands‑on mentality and customer‑oriented thinking
Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset
A proactive approach and the ability to work independently
Very good spoken and written English
Willingness to work in a clean room environment
Git experience is of advantage
Basic knowledge of Python or other programming languages would be beneficial
Basic data base skills are also a plus

With us you will receive an attractive annual gross salary from
50.000,- EUR
