Job Description: The postdoctoral researcher will develop and test novel organic polymers compatible with natural enzymes for CO2 fixation or H2 production. The project aims to elucidate the origins and function of a social organ of ants, the postpharyngeal gland, using diverse approaches from synthetic organic chemistry to electrobiotechnology. Basic experimental skills in synthetic chemistry are mandatory, and experience in polymer synthesis, electrochemistry, or handling of enzymes is desirable but not necessary.
