Job Description
The Warehouse Manager is responsible for the safe, compliant, and flawless execution of all warehouse operations. The role ensures the uninterrupted flow of materials from receipt through storage to manufacturing staging by driving daily operational execution, team performance and process discipline while maintaining the highest GMP standards. The Warehouse Manager delivers operational excellence through strong floor presence, effective resource planning, and continuous execution monitoring to support Bioplant's production objectives. This role reports to the Associate Director Supply Chain & Procurement. Operations & Quality
Lead and execute daily warehouse operations, including goods receipt, put‑away, inventory management, picking and staging for Manufacturing. Ensure on‑time execution of all warehouse activities to support uninterrupted manufacturing operations. Plan, prioritize and allocate daily workload and resources to meet operational requirements. Monitor execution throughout the day, proactively resolve operational issues and remove bottlenecks. Optimize warehouse processes and workflows to improve throughput, storage efficiency and space utilization. Ensure strict compliance with GMP requirements, GDP principles and internal SOPs. Maintain complete lot traceability and ensure all physical and ERP/WMS transactions are executed accurately and in real time. Ensure inventory accuracy through disciplined execution of cycle counts and reconciliation activities. Serve as the primary warehouse representative during quality audits and inspections. Lead investigations related to warehouse deviations, manage CAPAs and implement effective corrective and preventive actions in collaboration with QA. Team Leadership & Safety
Lead, coach and develop warehouse personnel to consistently execute operations safely, accurately and efficiently. Set clear daily priorities and monitor execution against operational targets. Build accountability through performance management, regular feedback and coaching. Ensure appropriate staffing and resource allocation to support changing production demands. Enforce EHS policies and GMP behaviors to maintain a safe and compliant working environment. Maintain warehouse organization and housekeeping in accordance with biotech audit expectations. Foster a culture of operational discipline, ownership, continuous improvement and customer service. Operational Excellence & Performance
Define, implement and monitor warehouse KPIs including dock‑to‑stock time, staging performance, inventory accuracy, picking productivity, warehouse capacity utilization and documentation compliance. Analyze operational performance, identify trends and implement corrective actions to improve execution. Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on productivity, quality, cost and service. Standardize warehouse processes and ensure consistent execution across all warehouse activities. Support warehouse capacity planning and operational readiness to meet future manufacturing growth. Technical Skills
Strong knowledge of GMP/GDP requirements within pharmaceutical or biotechnology manufacturing. Experience managing temperature‑controlled and cold‑chain materials. Advanced proficiency with ERP/WMS systems (SAP, SAP EWM or equivalent). Strong understanding of inventory control and warehouse execution processes. Soft Skills
Strong execution mindset with a hands‑on leadership approach. Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to prioritize and execute effectively in a fast‑paced GMP environment. Strong cross‑functional leadership with Manufacturing, QA and Supply Chain. Data‑driven decision making and analytical problem‑solving. Excellent communication, coaching and team development skills.
