Research Assistant Scholarship Opportunity in Computational and Theoretical Chemistry at Heidelberg University
Designation : Research Assistant (f/m/d)
Research Area : Computational and Theoretical Chemistry
Location : Heidelberg University, Interdisciplinary Center for Scientific Computing
- Successful completion of undergraduate studies (M.Sc. or equivalent) in chemistry, physics, or a related field
- High motivation to learn, develop, and apply new theoretical methods
- Ability to work in a team, strong communication skills, and willingness to learn in a team
- Ideally, experience in working with quantum chemistry and/or molecular mechanics software packages and programming
- Good communication skills in English, both oral and written
Job Description :
- Conduct multiscale simulations of stimuli-responsive functional materials
- Investigate the structural and dynamic properties of molecular switches and machines
- Develop and apply evolutionary algorithms, neural networks, and machine learning for modeling, evaluation, and visualization of dynamic phenomena
- Collaborate scientifically and exchange with experimental groups
