Designation : Research Assistant (f/m/d)

Research Area : Computational and Theoretical Chemistry

Location : Heidelberg University, Interdisciplinary Center for Scientific Computing

• Successful completion of undergraduate studies (M.Sc. or equivalent) in chemistry, physics, or a related field
• High motivation to learn, develop, and apply new theoretical methods
• Ability to work in a team, strong communication skills, and willingness to learn in a team
• Ideally, experience in working with quantum chemistry and/or molecular mechanics software packages and programming
• Good communication skills in English, both oral and written

Job Description :

• Conduct multiscale simulations of stimuli-responsive functional materials
• Investigate the structural and dynamic properties of molecular switches and machines
• Develop and apply evolutionary algorithms, neural networks, and machine learning for modeling, evaluation, and visualization of dynamic phenomena
• Collaborate scientifically and exchange with experimental groups
