Senior Coverage Banker – TMT, Services & Defense
Our client is one of the 15 largest European banks by market capitalization. As the institution is a leading player in its domestic market and further growth is limited, the bank is following an international growth plan.
In order to further strengthen its position in the DACH and Nordics regions and to facilitate further growth, the Frankfurt office has been significantly strengthened in recent months and is additionally looking for an experienced coverage banker who will focus on larger clients (DAX & larger Mittelstand from approx. 2bn EUR turnover upwards) in the TMT, services and defense sector.
Responsibilities:
- Active origination of business leads with new and existing clients by providing the appropriate products and services with the aim to build long-term, trustful client relationships
- Work closely with the product specialists of the branch and head office in originating and executing tailor-made solutions for corporate clients
- Establishment of a regular and sophisticated client dialog at the level of Group Treasurers, Finance Directors, and CFOs
- Liaise with relevant internal departments, including syndicate desk, project finance, asset finance, trade and working capital, ALM Desk, in originating, structuring and closing transactions
- Prepare memorandums and proposals for internal stakeholders
- Participate in the negotiation of the structure and the legal documentation for complex transactions
- Develop innovative solutions and pursue a client-driven coverage approach
Candidate profile:
- University degree. A master’s or postgraduate degree will be valued positively
- Several years of experience in a corporate client-facing role in Germany
- Excellent relationships with corporates from the DACH region within the TMT, services and defense sector
- Deep product expertise across debt, trade and working capital, as well as project and asset finance
- Strong analytical and communication skills
- Proven track record of revenue generation
- Excellent knowledge of written and spoken German and English, and (ideally) Spanish
