Munich, Germany. The role starts 100% remote, working with customers across Germany, Austria and Switzerland (DACH), with customer travel up to 10% of your working time.

The role

As an AI Solutions Engineer, you’ll work directly with customers across Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. You’ll combine hands‑on development with technical customer collaboration to understand workflows, connect systems, and deliver AI applications people can use with confidence.

What you’ll do

• Understand the workflow. Work with customer engineering teams to translate their needs into a clear scope, technical approach, and measurable delivery goals.
• Connect the systems. Build Python integrations and connect engineering documents, data, and enterprise applications, including systems in the CAD and PLM ecosystem.
• Build useful AI applications. Configure and extend AI agents, retrieval pipelines, and workflows using IndustrialMind’s platform.
• Make delivery dependable. Evaluate output quality, test integrations, and address access permissions and operational requirements with customer IT teams.
• Bring solutions into daily use. Support deployment, troubleshoot issues, and help users adopt the solution.
• Help shape the product. Bring recurring customer needs back to Product and Engineering to improve the platform.

The engineering challenge

How do you build AI that can work with an engineering drawing, connect it to product knowledge, and take useful action across enterprise systems? You’ll explore agent architectures, retrieval strategies, and evaluation methods against real industrial problems—and turn what you learn into capabilities other engineers can build on.

What you’ll bring

• 3+ years of experience in software engineering or AI application development.
• Strong Python skills and practical experience integrating systems through APIs.
• Experience deploying applications on Azure, AWS, or a comparable cloud platform.
• Familiarity with LLM applications, retrieval‑augmented generation, or AI agents.
• The ability to explain technical choices clearly and work constructively with customers.
• German sufficient to lead customer workshops and English for technical collaboration.
• Willingness to travel to customer sites for up to 10% of your working time.

Useful experience, but not essential

Manufacturing or industrial software; engineering workflows and CAD/PLM integrations; Microsoft Azure, SharePoint, Teams, or Microsoft Graph; ERP or MES systems; and experience working directly with enterprise customers.

A relevant degree or equivalent practical experience is welcome. You don’t need experience with every system listed above.
