What you’re going to do Your role within an AI Solution Team is to implement, train, and deploy use cases for AI-supported business processes. This ranges from simple AI-supported data analysis and LLM-guided hotlines to computer-vision-supported quality assurance and AI-generated BI reporting. Your key responsibilities include:
Developing and extending AI/ML-driven software components for MES (Manufacturing Execution Systems).
Designing, training, and deploying machine learning models (e.g., Transformers, LLMs) for optimizing production processes, predictive maintenance, and decision support.
Working with relational databases (e.g., Oracle, PostgreSQL) for structured data modeling, queries, and performance optimization.
Utilizing vector databases (e.g., Weaviate, Milvus) for embedded storage, similarity searches, and AI-driven data queries.
Implementation of graph databases (e.g., Neo4j) for knowledge graphs, relationship modeling, and AI workflow orchestration.
Creation and maintenance of LLM-based pipelines and agents using LangChain and LangGraph (e.g., agentic workflows, RAG pipelines, tool-calling agents, prompt engineering).
Collaboration with subject matter experts to translate MES/industry requirements into AI-driven solutions.
Creation and maintenance of technical documentation to ensure the transparency of AI models, reproducibility, and software quality.
What you bring
Completed degree in computer science, software engineering, data science, or a related field
Solid practical experience with LangChain and/or LangGraph for developing LLM applications and agent-based systems
Good understanding of transformer architectures and experience with frameworks such as Hugging Face Transformers
Practical knowledge of machine learning fundamentals (supervised/unsupervised learning, model evaluation, fine-tuning)
Proficiency in Python as the primary development language is preferred; knowledge of Java is an advantage
Experience with ML tools and ecosystems (e.g., PyTorch, scikit-learn, FAISS/vector storage, LLM provider APIs)
Basic knowledge of relational databases (SQL) is an advantage
Strong analytical skills, a willingness to learn, and a structured approach to work
Team-oriented mindset and good communication skills in agile environments
Good written and spoken English skills
What we offer To create optimal working conditions for our employees, we constantly stay ahead of the curve. Our focus is on three key factors: flexibility through individual working time models and mobile working, family-friendliness through tailored agreements, and collegial cohesion through a positive working atmosphere in a strong team with a culture of mutual respect.
Work in an international and agile development team
Entry into a professional MES development environment with experienced mentors
Insight into exciting industry projects and modern technologies
Supportive work atmosphere, structured onboarding, and continuous learning
A fantastic, open, and dedicated product development team
Your salary will depend on your qualifications and experience, and we will determine it together with you.
For this position, the minimum salary is between EUR 46,000 and 56,000 (ST1 entry-level to standard) gross per year (full-time, 38.5 hours). We are prepared to offer a significantly higher salary depending on your specific qualifications.
We look forward to receiving your application!
