A Lead Principal Engineer and Team Lead for High Voltage Product Definition Engineering (f/m/div) in our Customer Collaboration and Technical Marketing team works hand‑in‑hand with customers to transform our products into cutting‑edge designs while building long‑lasting partnerships. Your Role
Lead the definition of new products and product families across SiC, SiC JFET/cascode, and CoolMOS, ensuring strong alignment with target applications such as AI datacenter power, renewables, EV charging, and SMPS. Drive clear and compelling technical value propositions, ensuring strong differentiation across platforms in terms of efficiency, power density, cost, reliability, and performance. Lead, coach, and develop a team of experienced Product Definition Engineers, fostering a high‑performance and collaborative engineering culture. Contribute to long‑term technology and product strategy, shaping a customer‑centric and future‑ready product roadmap. Ensure high‑quality technical governance by reviewing and approving key deliverables such as datasheets, application notes, whitepapers, and competitive analyses. Collaborate closely with Marketing, R&D, and Sales to translate real‑world application needs into precise product specifications. Maintain deep market and application insight in power electronics, especially in AI infrastructure and renewable energy, identifying portfolio gaps and new opportunities. Act as a senior technical authority, driving system‑level thinking, strategic decisions, and scalable product concepts across teams. Your Profile
University degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Electronics, or a closely related field (PhD preferred). 10+ years of hands‑on experience in power semiconductor product development, application engineering, or product definition. Strong expertise in SiC and/or high‑voltage Silicon technologies, including device concepts such as MOSFETs, JFETs, or Superjunction. Proven experience in defining power devices for demanding applications (e.g., data centers, renewables, EV charging, industrial systems). Deep understanding of power conversion topologies and system‑level requirements, including technology trade‑offs. Practical laboratory experience with power semiconductors, including characterization and validation. Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear value propositions and differentiated product strategies. Strong leadership, collaboration, and communication skills to guide experienced engineers and work across cross‑functional teams; fluent in English (German is a plus). Benefits
