Your Role
Key responsibilities in your new role
As our new Product Application Expert, you will be at the heart of the power electronics revolution. You will play a defining part in specifying, validating and promoting next-generation discrete power semiconductors--including Trenchstop™ IGBTs, CoolSiC™ MOSFETs, and CoolSiC™ JFETs. Your role is all about ensuring our technology meets the real-world demands of a rapidly evolving landscape--from AI data centers and solid-state power distribution to EV, PV, UPS, and ESS infrastructure. You will serve as the bridge between customer needs and market-leading innovation. Innovate: Develop groundbreaking concepts for new products and services that solve tomorrow's power challenges Define: Translate customer insights and market trends into precise technical specifications for future product generations Validate: Lead product-to-system validation, including hands‑on hardware design, test execution, and comprehensive documentation Educate: Create high-impact technical content, including application notes, whitepapers, and training materials for global stakeholders Consult: Act as a trusted technical advisor to our customers, supporting successful design-ins and resolving complex technical challenges Your Profile
Qualifications and skills to help you succeed
Education: A degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical fiel Experience: 5+ years of professional experience within the semiconductor and power electronics industry Semiconductor Expertise: In-depth knowledge of Silicon (Si) and Silicon Carbide (SiC) power technologies, discrete packages, and gate drivers Application Expertise: Familiarity with power electronic solutions used in areas such as PV, EV Chargers, UPS, ESS, AI Data Center Power, and SSCB, specifically concerning topology and device selection Hands‑on Mentality: Ability and willingness to assess the behavior and performance of semiconductor products through simulations and through lab experiments, including the development of test boards and systems, and the execution of characterization and double pulse tests, as well as real-world application-level tests. Communication: Excellent English skills with the ability to navigate and influence staeholders in a large-scale global organization Mindset: A strong "customer-first" approach with a proven track record of driving business growth through technical excellence This position is subject to the collective agreement for workers and employees in the electrical and electronics industry, at least employment group H (https://www.feei.at/leistungen/informations-service/mindestlohne-und-gehalter).
