Internship: Automatizing FSM Development in Semiconductor R&D (f/m/div)
You are a committed student from the field of Electronics, Electrical Engineering or similar and are looking for a new exciting student job? Infineon Power & Sensor Systems (PSS) delivers future-oriented solutions to provide cutting-edge data transport and to make tools and systems smarter, smaller, lighter and more energy-efficient. Our team in Villach is looking forward to receiving your application!
Finite State Machines (FSMs) are widely used in digital design – from automating simple processes up to full system control. Particularly for complex FSMs, the generation of a stable architecture, proper documentation and full verification are always a time consuming tasks which have a high potential for reuse and optimization due to the availability of sophisticated and extendable generation flows. We are looking for someone who is interested in building a full design and verification environment for FSMs based on our internal meta-modelbased generation flow. Achieving this requires combining digital design, programming and design verification skills.
Your tasks will include:
Familiarization with the generation environment
Collaboration with design and verifiaction colleagues to collect specific requirements
Definition of suitable FSM architectures
Extension of the existing generation environment to build FSM architectures from a golden source (e.g. Excel or XML)
Automated generation of verification data and documentation from the same golden source
Simulation and verification of generated FSM designs
Generation of a reusable FSM development library for the generation flow
Building up/improving your Python knowledge
