Your role
Key responsibilities in your new role

• Build PLECS models for inverter + motor under trapezoidal and FOC control
• Implement Si MOSFET baseline and GaN device models (FOC for GaN)
• Define operating points representative of leaf blower use(speed/torque/load)
• Run loss simulations and extract inverter loss breakdown
• Set up hardware test on leaf blower and capture efficiency data
• Correlate simulation results with experimental measurements
• (Optional) Add motor loss calculation to separate motor vs inverter contributions

Your profile
Qualifications and skills to help you succeed

• Target Majors: Undergraduate/Graduate students in Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE),
• Preferable Qualifications:
• Hands-on experience with circuit design.
• Familiarity with Plecs /FEA simulation software.
• Completed coursework in Power Electronics.
