Director Product Quality Management

As the Head of Product Quality Management for the ATV QM site in Melaka, you will be responsible for leading and developing the product quality function, with a strong focus on package, backend (BE) and test-related quality challenges. You will build and establish Melaka as a local knowledge hub for product quality, driving strategy, deploying processes, and ensuring alignment with global and local business lines (BL HV, SP, HX). You will functionally lead PL QM teams, define clear responsibilities, optimize local competencies and develop talent pipelines in line with organizational needs and market competitiveness. Your role is critical to ensuring robust quality management across ratio, transfer and change projects for power devices, while supporting discrete power product development and sustainment activities.

Job Description
In your new role you will:

• Head of Product Quality Management for ATV QM site Melaka
• Concentrates on QM tasks closely related to package/BE and test related challenges
• QM for Ratio, Transfer, Change Projects of power devices (for BLs HV, SP
• Discrete power product development and product sustainment (for BL HX)
• ADEGo requirement definitions and package reliability expert support (for ATV)
• Establish local knowledge hub for product quality at ATV QM including build up of resources to support the BL HV and SP, leading functionally PL QM teams
• Define and deploy the strategy and mandate for MEL ATV QM together with the ATV QM board
• Establish local leadership with global responsibilities
• Have a clear site strategy, put functional ownership to Melaka, optimize competency footprint as well as a local career paths
• Use established local networks to attract best talents from universities and give visibility on local career opportunities – across functions, departments and sites as well as compensation in line with the local employment market
• Define clear responsibility, avoid gaps or overlaps and provide clarification on tasks are performed by whom with legal and functional managers
• Define and deploy the strategy and mandate for MEL ATV QM together with the ATV QM board

Your Profile
You are best equipped for this task if you have:

• 10+ years of experience in leadership roles at quality management or other technical roles.
• Understanding of Lean product development
• Advanced knowledge of Project management methodologies.
• Knowledge and experience with the implementation of Changes and Organisational Development, Basic Business and Customer knowledge
• Entrepreneurial and customer oriented acting.
• Good understanding of internal interfaces (incl. Operations, PLs & BLs, Finance) and contribution to business results.
• Leadership experience ideally also through Projects or Programs (world wide and intercultural). Intercultural, demographic and social awareness.
• Advanced skills to handle complex situations and focus on results
• Networking with the key partners within ATV QM, ATV SPM, central QM, regional ATV QM, other DIV, FE/ BE OPC
