Your Role
As an Environmental Protection Specialist, you will be a key member of our team, contributing to the development of a culture that prioritizes environmental responsibility and sustainability. You will bring your expertise and passion for environmental protection to help us achieve our goals and make a positive impact on the environment.

Key responsibilities in your new role

• Participate in the development, approval, and implementation of environmental protection regulations
• Perform/arrange for permits, measurements, and inspections, and liaise with authorities
• Responsible for environmental protection, storage of hazardous materials, waste collection and storage, monitoring system, chemical safety, and soil, water, and air pollution control
• Evaluate legislation, develop and implement action plans, and obtain/arrange for permits
• Participate in the operation of the environmental management system, administer self-inspections, measurements, and reviews
• Perform tasks related to chemical safety, including reporting hazardous substances/activities and maintaining a list of hazardous substances
• Assist in preparing risk assessments, prepare and update hazardous substance handling instructions, and conduct health monitoring tests/sampling
• Develop and implement training programs for employees on environmental protection and sustainability
• Collaborate with external partners and stakeholders to promote environmental protection and sustainability

Your Profile
As a team player with strong communication skills, you are able to coordinate your work with your team and regularly share your insights with them. You have a great set of analytical skills that allow you to solve problems in an efficient way.
Qualifications and skills to help you succeed

• A Bachelor\’s Degree in Environmental Science, Chemistry, or a similar field. A Master\’s degree would be an advantage
• At least 2 years of experience in environmental protection or a related field
• Experience as a dangerous goods transport safety advisor would be an advantage
• Knowledge of environmental management systems and regulations
• Very good command of English (spoken and written). Hungarian knowledge would be a plus
• Experience with environmental management systems, such as ISO 14001, and knowledge of relevant laws and regulations
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and implement opportunities for improvement in environmental management systems.
