The student will be involved in exploring and designing Agentic AI for Fab Key User to perform Incident troubleshooting and resolution. The job scope is as follows: 1. Applying Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning Operations (MLOps) techniques/tools to: - Enhance automated troubleshooting using Large Language Models to interact with self-defined knowledge repositories - Create and maintain integrated knowledge base with up-to-date information - Using real-time data and past incident resolutions to assist in troubleshooting - Improve user support by providing detailed symptoms and solutions, but redirecting complex issues to human support when necessary 2. To Leverage Generative AI to automate the extraction of critical failure insights from 8D reports and synthesize comprehensive, high-fidelity test cases. This system validates the effectiveness of implemented solutions by rigorously testing against root causes, architectural gaps, and systemic failures, ensuring zero recurrence of crisis-level issues and preventing future production move losses. 3. Scale AI-driven document intelligence to perform deep semantic analysis of 8D (Eight Disciplines) problem-solving reports. The system ingests complex narratives to identify Technical, Systemic, and Escapee root causes, analyzes integration-layer flows, and reconstructs the chronological sequence of failure events. It then autonomously generates granular test cases designed to verify the robustness of the proposed solution, ensuring that the fix effectively closes the identified gaps and prevents recurrence.
Your Role
Key responsibilities in your new role

  • Apply System Design Thinking concept, Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning Operations (MLOps) tools in data management, Modelling and Operationalisation to design AI Agent to demonstrate the following:
  • 1. Facilitate incident management, automate issue troubleshooting with self-remediation where possible
  • 2. Provide digital conversation with end users to answer simple user inquiries and maintain
  • 3. Knowledge base with up-to-date information for system troubleshooting
  • 4. Use machine learning algorithms, including regression, clustering, decision trees, and deep learning, to identify correlations between log data and past incidents.
Internship Learning Outcomes
  • Apply System Design Thinking concepts
  • IT Service Management Framework - Understanding of the Incident and problem ticket handling process and tool used
  • Exposure to state-of-the-art GenAI framework, ChatGPT Technology – Neural Networks, Natural Language Processing (NLP), Large Language Models (LLM), Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) using LlamaIndex
  • Work with various functional teams - IT service desk, Factory users, Operation support team across multiple locations

Qualifications and skills to help you succeed

  • On track to attaining Bachelor in Electrical & Electronic / Mechanical / Computer Engineering
  • Possess an analytical and inquisitive mindset
  • Knowledge of ChatGPT Technology, programming skills in NLP/LLM/Python/R-programming
  • Preferably knowledge in System Design Thinking
  • Preferred Internship Period: Jan 27 - Jun 27
