Internship: Automation of Electronic System Tests (w/m/div)

Your Role

Key responsibilities in your new role

• Automation Scripting: Develop automation scripts to control and interact with various test equipment, including oscilloscopes, power supplies, multimeters, analyzers, and Thermostream systems.
• Automated Test Sequence Design: Design automated test sequences, encompassing data acquisition, processing, and report generation
• Test Board Design: Participate in the design of test boards and interfaces using Altium Designer, including schematic and PCB design, to create functional and reliable test setups.
• Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC): Apply best practices in EMC, including decoupling, routing, and ground plane design Develop and validate prototypes: perform measurements, diagnostics, and
  corrections
• Prototype Development and Validation: Develop, test, and validate prototypes, performing measurements, diagnostics, and corrections as needed to ensure successful project outcomes.
• Mechanical Design: Design mechanical supports/adapters in SolidWorks to configure boards during testing, considering connections, interfaces with Thermostream, space constraints, and thermal management
• Documentation and Manufacturing Support: Document developed procedures and tools and collaborate with the workshop team for manufacturing and part integration

Your Profile

Qualifications and skills to help you succeed

• Education: Currently in the final year of your bachelor’s degree or in a master’s degree in Electronics, Automation, Physical Measurements, or equivalent fields
• Programming & Data Analysis Skills: Proficiency in Python programming, including scripting and scientific libraries, as well as data processing and analysis tools (e.g., NumPy, Pandas, Matplotlib).
• Electronics Fundamentals: Understanding of electronics, including schematics and basic measurements (e.g., multimeter, oscilloscope).
• Personal and Interpersonal Skills: Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with a curious and autonomous mindset and ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
• Language Skills: Intermediate knowledge of English, with the ability to read and understand technical documentation and datasheets

It would be a plus:

• Instrument Control: Knowledge of instrument control using PyVISA or a willingness to learn
• Experience: Previous internship or project experience in electronic tests/measurements
• Preferred Skills: Experience with Altium Designer (PCB design), SolidWorks (basic mechanical CAD knowledge), and knowledge of communication protocols (e.g. UART, SPI, I2C, etc.)
