The student, as part of the Master Data team will assist the HoD / Digitalisation Team Lead in running departmental digitalisation transformation projects, including but not limited to the implementation of AI agents for supply chain & analytical use cases, data centralisation development as well as research-based work.
Your Role
Key responsibilities in your new role
- Prototype an AI agent to analyze supply chain datasets, detect anomalies/data quality issues, and assist with root-cause and resolution workflows under mentorship from senior engineers.
- Create unified data views (via a virtualized/semantic layer) that centralize data objects from multiple enterprise systems and databases into a single, governed source for consistent, self-service analytics.
- Assist project lead in implementing Rule Based Management System in Infineon’s Global Master Data applications by defining maintenance processes, validation/derivation rules, and approval workflows; validate results and track issues in Jira/Octane.
- Conduct supply chain and Product Master Data analysis by profiling large datasets with SQL/Python (Pandas) and Excel to assess completeness, consistency, uniqueness, and accuracy; produce profiling reports that highlight issues such as missing attributes, duplicate products, and inconsistent routes.
- Contribute to internal communications and engagement activities tied to departmental digital transformation projects as the project office.
- Ensure ongoing data quality and governance by defining executable data quality rules, monitoring KPIs via Tableau dashboards, maintaining documentation and change logs in Confluence.
Internship Learning Outcomes:
- Understand master data domains and processes (Product, planning, materials, etc.) and how they enable business and manufacturing operations.
- Gain hands-on skills in data profiling, mapping, and transformations; configure and test data in Global Master Data applications; visualize data quality using BI tools (e.g. Tableau, SAP BO, Denodo, etc.)
- Build testing and governance capabilities: write UAT scripts, perform fit–gap analysis, monitor data quality KPIs, and maintain documentation.
- Strengthen analytical, communication, project management and problem-solving skills through cross-functional collaboration and clear, structured documentation.
- Gain experience in AI agent implementation for real world supply chain use cases.
- Gain exposure to global projects in a leading semiconductor company.

Qualifications and skills to help you succeed
- On track to attain Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Data Analytics, Engineering
- Preferred Skills: Python, GenAI experience, Tableau, SAP BO, Denodo, HTML (good to have)
- Preferred Internship Period: Jun 26 – Dec 26 , minimally 6 months. Applicants with 1 year commitment period are also welcome to apply!
